I'm SROW Excited...

Tomorrow afternoon I will be on my way to my fifth SROW (Southern Regional Orientation Workshop). Unfortunately, it may very well be my last time. I know that it will be quite some time before I return with LSU. Although, if LSU were to host SROW in the near future (or maybe even not-so-near future) I don't think that I'd be able to stay away!

One thing that I'm really looking forward to this year is finally meeting some of the students that I'll be working with this summer. I'm kind of nervous--I really hope they like me and that we get along well. Also, I'm going to put this out there now just so it's official-I've never been amazing with learning new names right away. If I ever call you by the wrong name, I don't mean anything by it; I am getting old... haha! I'm planning to spend some time with them and Melissa, Ella and Jenn if possible. However, things are still somewhat up in the air about my responsibilities this weekend.

In something not related to SROW, I've got less than 2 months until my internship begins. I'm pushing myself to get as much done as possible. Jenn and I tend to email back and forth weekly and it's very reassuring to hear that her office is going through some of the same things that mine is in an effort to improve our programs. I've also decided to set two goals for myself until then and throughout the internship. Though it is typically easier to achieve goals when there is someone to cheer you on and push you, I'm keeping them to myself for now.

I guess I'd better finish packing my bags, prepping for the case study competition, and making lists to be sure that I remember everything!
