My poster session went fairly well today-not a lot of people stopped by, but I had some great conversations with those that did. I also did a bit of networking during that time when people asked about my posters. After seeing some of the others, I'm pretty happy with the results of my efforts, although, I have learned some things for future poster sessions:
- Get started (and finished) early to avoid rush printing costs.
- Make it a manageable size so it can fit on the plane and not have to be shipped overnight across the country.
- Use more images and less wording to make it easier to read quickly.
Tonight, Kelli, Aimee (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!), Ryann and I went to Disneyland for some fun times. We had a blast and figured that riding too many jerky rides in a row may not be the best for us. Oh, and we found out that if a ride has water involved, we will get wet somehow... It was awesome to watch the fireworks and relax after such a long few weeks. Ryann and I even got to ride shotgun in the monorail on the ride back to the hotel!
Ryann and I just finished putting the last touches on our presentation for Monday morning. We're pretty confident about the process and know that we'll be able to play off of one another well enough to get through it! If you'd like to see it (yes, you, Mom), here's a PDF version of the slides.
