In just a few days time, I'll be in Auburn and then my journey will really begin. People (well, mostly just Ryann) keep asking me if it feels surreal or if I'm freaking out yet. Honestly, I don't think either are really applicable.
Do I really know what awaits me? Of course not, but I've got a pretty good idea and am ready and able to take on anything that I may encounter. That's part of the excitement! Do I have concerns or mixed emotions about going? Sure thing--I hate that I'm missing some of my closest friends' graduations, especially since I've seen them from start to finish (literally!) at LSU and experience a whole heck of a lot of growth along the way. Do I think it will be hard? Sometimes, but I also know that this is what I'd love to do with my life so I'm willing to gain the knowledge and can only hope to grow and learn from my new staff and students- who, by the way, are pictured above!
Honestly, I think I'm just ready to get started and ready to be in Auburn! More than anything, that would put any fears I may have to rest, help answer my questions and allow me to put an image with everything that I've been over-thinking! I'm still debating about whether I should leave on Thursday afternoon or early Friday morning and right now it's really a matter of if I can get my theory paper finished and packing done by noon on Thursday. If I can, then I'll be on my way as soon as I can get out of my Assessment class!!
The hardest part will be getting there. Once you're there, you'll be fine. You're a natural!
ReplyDeleteI think your experience is just going to be fabulous - think of the new perspectives you'll be able to bring back for your last semester at LSU, and the impact that this experience will likely have on your future career endeavors! I'm looking forward to reading all about it this summer!
